You Can't Think Your Way Out of Something You Haven't Been Honest Enough to Name

Hey HoneyBuns,
I'm going to say something I need you to actually hear:
You cannot outwork a mind that is working against you.
You cannot build the business, show up in the relationship, lose the weight, or live the CHOICES Lifestyle from a mental space that is cluttered, unaddressed, and held together with distractions and a busy schedule.
And yet — that is exactly what so many of us are trying to do.
I want to tell you something I have not always been willing to say out loud. There have been seasons in my life where I was holding it together for everyone around me while quietly falling apart on the inside. Smiling in public, performing fine, and then getting alone and not knowing what to do with the weight of everything I had not processed.
Faking the funk. Y'all already know that phrase. Because a lot of you are doing it right now.
What Mental Health Actually Looks Like When You're Ignoring It
It doesn't always look like a breakdown. Sometimes it looks like this:
You are exhausted but you cannot sleep. You are busy but you feel empty. You are surrounded by people and still profoundly alone. You snap at the people you love for reasons that have nothing to do with them. You scroll for hours trying to feel something or trying to feel nothing — you are not even sure which one anymore.
That's not a scheduling problem. That's not something that will fix itself when work slows down. That is your mind telling you it needs attention. And it has been telling you for a long time.
The Excuse That Keeps You Stuck
Real talk?

The most dangerous thing you can say about your mental health is I'll deal with it later. Because later has been coming for years. And while you wait for later, your mind is making decisions for you. It is running patterns you haven't examined. It is repeating cycles you haven't broken. It is keeping you safe in ways that are actually keeping you small.
You deserve better than a mind you have been managing instead of healing.
Ask yourself — and take the uncomfortable version of this question:
What am I using to avoid being still?
The busyness. The scrolling. The overworking. The overeating. The staying in dynamics that drain you because at least being drained feels familiar. What are you using so you do not have to sit with what is actually going on?
That thing you identified? THAT is where the work is.
Your WOW FACTOR Lives in a Clear Mind
Your WOW FACTOR — that thing that makes you magnetic, that innate worth that has always been inside you — cannot fully surface from a mind that is buried under unprocessed grief, unaddressed anxiety, and untold truth.
The CHOICES Lifestyle is not just about what you put in your body or how you structure your day. It is about the mental environment you are living in. And you get to choose that environment. Every single day.
Clarity is kindness, HoneyBuns. Vagueness is chaos. And right now, a lot of you are living in mental chaos and calling it life.
Your Mirror Check for Today
Finish this sentence — out loud, or on paper:
The thing I keep avoiding thinking about is _______________.
Now ask yourself: How long have you been avoiding it?
Now ask: What is one small step toward addressing it — not fixing it, just addressing it — that you could take today?
Therapy. A journal. A real conversation you have been delaying. Sitting still for ten minutes without your phone. Just one step.
Your mind deserves the same attention you give everything else. Actually — it deserves MORE.
Stop surviving in your own head. Start living in it.
